Habitat seeking veterans for affordable housing

Habitat for Humanity of Citrus County is seeking applications from veterans for affordable homes to be built by Habitat volunteers and construction specialists in Inverness and Crystal River.

If you are, or know of, a veteran or the surviving spouse of a veteran and looking to own a home and currently have a need for housing, please contact us.

Habitat for Humanity appreciates the dedication of our service/military and will assist qualified veterans anyway possible in getting through the program with a goal of decent affordable housing.

Annual gross income eligibility guidelines for consideration of Habitat for Humanity of Citrus County partnership for homeownership are:

2016 INCOME LIMITS FOR CITRUS COUNTY: Family Size - Minimum Income - Maximum Income

1 - $10,688 - $21,360

2 - $12,210 - $24,420

3 - $13,740 - $27,480

4 - $15,240 - $30,480

5 - $16,470 - $32,940

6 - $17,700 - $35,400

7 - $18,900 - $37,800

8 - $20,130 - $40,260

Habitat for Humanity builds and sells affordable homes at 0 percent interest to those who qualify.

Mortgage payments including principal, taxes and insurance average around $350 a month.
